Compassionate Listening
In Buddhism, the meaning of enlightenment is "the end of suffering". What a beautiful concept! Did you know that by compassionately listening to someone for 1 hour, it can help relieve their suffering? This is a concept shared by Buddhist Monk, Thich Nhat Hanh in his book called Anger. He states "Compassionate listening is a very deep practice. You listen not to blame or judge." Listening with compassion can help cool down the flames of an angry person.
